Never Close Enough pulled me in right from the beginning with Ella walking in on her boyfriend Kyle cheating on her. I loved the names she called the woman Kyle was cheating on her with. I was definitely laughing at that whole scene. Ella is a very strong character, she did not let her boyfriend's cheating ways effect her birthday week plans. She go off to the beach house without Kyle and meets Porter.
This story is told in the dual POVs of Ella and Porter. I love stories that have dual POVs. Porter and Ells hit off. It was great to read about the progress of their relationship through both their eyes.
Never Close Enough has light hearted moments, but there also are some heavy serious moments. Towards the end there are some really shocking parts that took me by surprise. The story ends with a cliffhanger. I have to say I hated the way the story ended, I really wanted a happy ever after. There will be a second book. I can't wait to read that one.
