They’ve lived their lives as outcasts from their own individual species of shifters choosing to form a family with each other instead. Until Now. Follow the Blackbird pack as they fall victim to love one by one.

Shooting off the bed with a shuddering gasp, Ronan ran a shaking hand across his sweaty brow.  He glanced to his left to find Lorcan still soundly sleeping—thankfully. Ruddy nightmares. After all these years, it seemed the horrors of the last incident in Afghanistan might never completely fade away.
He reached down to rub the scarred tissue at the end of what remained of his leg.  Lorcan grumbled incoherently at the jostling and rolled over on his side.  The hare shifter would be angry in the morning if he discovered his mate had suffered in the night without waking him.
      Too bleeding bad.
Nothing angered Ronan more than being treated like he was broken.  The damn blast had done nothing more than temporarily steal his ability to function.  With his state-of-the-art prosthetic, he’d believed himself to be as close to what he’d been in the past as ever.
Everyone else in his life didn’t seem as convinced, Lorcan being the rare exception.
“Leg bothering you?” Lorcan leaned up on his elbow with a mixture of weariness and concern mingling in his eyes. “Another nightmare?”
They both suffered them after the living hell Afghanistan had been.  The dreams had lessened over the years. Ronan wondered if they’d ever completely rid themselves of the lingering memories.
Lorcan’s warm hand moved over to cover Ronan’s.  Twisting around on the bed, Ronan leaned over his shifter until their lips met.  He’d always found his mate’s lips to be remarkably full and soft, given nothing else about the man could even be considered soft.
Lorcan traced Ronan’s bottom lip with his tongue and reached up to catch him by the back of the neck to hold him close. “I’m on top this time.”
“No, you’re not.” Ronan’s brogue tended to deepen and roll seductively when he was half-asleep and in the mood. He blocked Lorcan’s attempt to roll them over and caught the shifter’s arms in strong, calloused hands. “Easy there, fuzzy britches, you’re not going anywhere, got that straight?”

Interview With Dahlia Donovan:

1. Can you tell us a little about your books?
The Blackbird series started out of a crazy dream. It’s a series that focuses on a group of former British Royal Marines who have started their own security firm. Each member of the firm is a shifter, though they all vary in type. The pack has two wolves, a cougar, a panther, two foxes and a rabbit—plus a few others who pop up now and then.
The first story in the series, Ivy, introduces the two alpha wolves who run the pack and their non-shifter mate, Ivy. The series is paranormal romance with just a hint of danger and suspense thrown in with a ton of my off-beat humor.
2. When did you know you wanted to write a book?
I wrote my first story when I was around ten—about a bear. I’ve always wanted to write, I just didn’t have the confidence in myself until I reached my thirties.

3. Which book has been your favorite to write?
So far? Alicia.
4. Do you work with an outline, or just write?
I have a loose outline, but mostly I just write.
5. Do you have a favorite spot to write?
Not really, I do prefer to have my favourite pen and a notebook to handwrite chapters out before I type them up.

6. Do you listen to music while you write?
Definitely. Each story I’ve written has it’s own playlist.
7. If  you could spend 24 hours as a fictional character, who would you chose?
Steven Samuels from my Blackbird series. I have a thing for silver foxes.
8. What's your favorite video game?
Oh that’s a hard question. A tie between Mass Effect (the entire series) and Dragon Age: II. Lately, I’ve been obsessively playing Destiny.

9. What writing projects are you currently working on?
I am currently working on a new series, The Fallen Knights, which focuses completely on a character from the Blackbird series, Elaine Gibbs. Her first novel, Misguided Confession, should come out next year at some point. I’ve just started to write it now.

Release Blitz for Getting Lucky by Maggie Adams

Getting Lucky
Maggie Adams

Sept 30th

Lawrence “Lucky” Coalson is on the track of the arsonist that torched his older brother’s construction company. The clues have led him to the Mississippi Flame Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Taking a job as a bouncer there, he hopes to find a connection or even the arsonist. What he finds is a blonde bombshell in a bit of trouble, so like the alpha male he is, Lucky comes to the rescue.

But what happens in Vegas is about to follow him home – and no one is prepared for the consequences.

“You do have a certain charm, cowboy,” Claudia murmured as she leaned back in his arms.
He kissed her, quick and hard, on the lips. “I’m just clearing the way for a fun filled evening, baby.”
He started around the bar, but she grabbed the back of his shirt. “What makes you think I don’t have plans?”
Lucky turned in a flash, grabbed her around the waist and slid his hand under her skirt to rub her through her panties. “I know you’ve got plans, sugar. I can feel what you’ve got in mind. It’s warm and moist.” He slipped his finger around the silken barrier to slide against her wetness. She moaned when his finger left her. He brought it to his lips. “And it tastes so sweet.”
Claudia came to her senses as Lucky stepped back. She swung an arm to slap him, but he grabbed it and pulled her close once again. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?” she hissed. Even though she was pissed, her body throbbed against him.
“I’m just keeping it real baby.  If we give them a show every now and then, the word will spread, and pretty soon, we’ve got a casino full of gambling voyeurs,” he murmured against her skin as he nibbled on her neck. “Now, I’ve got to go put out more fires.” He kissed her again, amid cheers and bar pounding, and then hopped over the bar with a grin and a bow. “Oh, and lose the panties, darlin’.”
Claudia shook her head and grinned. He definitely wasn’t boring her.

Hi! I'm Maggie Adams. I live near St. Louis, MO, with my high school sweetheart, Ned, and my wonderful kids, Katie (Kyle) and Ross (Valerie). My life is like a walking, talking sitcom from I Love Lucy, but I love it, although people do tend to keep their distance from me!
Writing has always been my dream, with reading my favorite hobby. When I’m not writing, I can be found singing, dancing, and cooking, often all at the same time. I try to include a little bit of my life in everything I write, so when you read my books, keep your eyes wide open - I'm in there somewhere! Happy reading!

FK BLurb
It’s an action some encourage and others dissuade. Since the day I was born, fighting has been instilled into my mind. Regardless of your opinion, it’s something we all do. At some point in time, consciously or subconsciously—either emotionally, physically, or spiritually—we struggle. Many will strive to withstand their battles, but only those who were born to fight will overcome them.
A true fighter lacks weakness. They abstain from carelessness and refrain from trusting their opponents, but most importantly, they never accept defeat.
I am a true born fighter. Each second of every day, I fight. Rip the ones I love most away from me, I kill. If I’ve learned anything from this life, it’s to always expect the unexpected. As long as my heart continues to beat, and no matter the costs, I will be victorious.
FK Review
Fatal Knockout is a crazy emotional roller coaster of a read.     We get Madisyn and Blaze's story.   We get a little past (so we can see how they meet) then it bring us up to the present.    Knowing a little about their past really helps to connect with them.   They have a great love for each other.  I love how Blaze instantly knew that Madisyn was the one for him.   The ending was absolutely crazy.    I can't wait to read the next one.

HTML Editor - Full Version

Title: He Loves Me Healthy, He Loves Me Not
Author: Renee Dyer
Release Date: October 26

It’s a strange little word about to change Nick and Brenna St. James’ world forever.
Brenna was raised to believe loves conquers all. Losing piece after piece of herself causes her to waver in her beliefs. Insecurities abound and she can’t stop wondering if Nick can love the person she is now. Is it fair to ask him to?
Nick wants a do over. To go back to a time before Brenna was sick, before everything changed. But genies don’t exist, life doesn’t grant wishes, and time machines haven’t been invented. All he can do is follow his heart...and his heart wants Brenna.
Together, they have to face a battle they never imagined.
When fighting is all you have left…
When love can't heal everything…
When life rests in the balance of the unknown...
When their vows, “…in sickness and in health”, are put to the test…
Will Nick and Brenna be able to fight through the odds stacked against them, or will everything come crumbling down?

From a young age Renee Dyer had a love of writing, starting with a doodle pad at age four that soon turned into journals and later computer documents.  Poetry became short stories and short stories became a novel.  Although she's surrounded by males all day having three sons, a husband and a hyperactive chocolate lab, she still finds time to be all woman when she escapes into the fantasy of reading and writing romance.  That is, until she needs male perspective and garners eye rolling from her husband.  She's a true New Englander.  You'll find her screaming profanity at her TV while the Pats play and cuddling under blankets during the cold seasons (which is most of them) reading a good book.  To her snow is not a reason to shut things down, only a reason to slow down and admire the beauty.  Ask her questions and she'll answer them.  She's an open book, pun fully intended.

Hunter brought the cold glass bottle to my lips, and I closed my eyes to better appreciate the flavor.

“Mmmmm.” Hints of caramel, a touch of cinnamon, and was that…nutmeg? I licked my lips. “Tastes like autumn.”

“Next,” Hunter said softly. There was a clink as he set down the bottle, and another as he picked the second one up. Then that cool glass was against my warm mouth again, and I shivered as I felt his breath ghost against the back of my neck. I could practically feel the heart radiating off his body behind me. A drop of condensation slipped down the neck of the bottle, rolling down the fevered skin of my neck.

Oh, right, the beer. I took a gulp, hoping the cool liquid would calm my disordered thoughts. No such luck—but it was delicious, strongly hoppy this time, notes of lime and orange and vanilla, with a peppery finish. “Damn, that’s good. It’s like spring!”

“I’m glad you like it,” Hunter murmured. His arm encircled my waist—no, he was just reaching for another bottle, no, that was his other hand, this one was definitely resting on my waist, lightly, just above my hipbone.

I didn’t dare open my eyes, for fear I would find I was only dreaming.

“Another?” Hunter invited.

“Yes please.” My voice was a whisper, hoarse with desire I hoped he couldn’t hear.

And there it came, his gentle hands guiding it to my mouth, the smooth glass with its beads of moisture kissing my skin, and that that ambrosia sliding slowly down my throat: brown sugar and anise and a hint of…chocolate.

“Ooooooh,” I moaned in appreciation. I licked my lips.

And heard a sharp intake of breath from Hunter. “You like that?” he whispered.

“So much,” I replied, feeling the heat in my body gather itself tight and low.

Even with my eyes closed I was vividly aware of how close he was standing to me; I could smell him, hear each breath he took. His hand on my waist seemed to grip a fraction tighter, wrinkling the fabric of my dress—the hand holding the bottle seemed to tremble slightly, I could feel his breath ruffling my hair as he bent closer, those warm lips only inches from—

My eyes burst open and I almost leapt away from him. We didn’t have time for sexual tension! That was what had gotten us into trouble in the first place. My mind fluttered rapidly over possible topics of redirection.

It was difficult. It mostly wanted to think of Hunter shirtless.

Maybe pantsless too.

Yeah….definitely pantsless.

Release Blitz of Loch by Harper Bentley

Title: Loch (The Powers That Be #3)
Author: Harper Bentley
Release Date: Sept 30, 2015
Find on Goodreads
Loch Powers was the hottest guy I’d ever seen in my entire life.

And I hated him with every fiber of my being.

I'd practically known him since birth. Heck, we’d literally shared a crib as babies at his mom’s daycare.

Then I’d crushed on him hard when we hit middle school but he wouldn’t give geeky, glasses-wearing me the time of day. When his mom made him take me to the sixth grade dance, he’d humiliated me and I vowed to never talk to him again.

The next year when my family moved away, I told myself that if I never saw him again it’d be too soon.

Now I’m back and attending the same college, but I’m no longer the skinny, ugly girl who was so infatuated with him. And I’m so over him it’s not even funny.

But now that I’m no longer the ugly duckling, he’s set his sights on me, and I’m just not sure what to do with that.

Review by Gia:
Loch is book three in the The Powers That Be series.  It can be read as a standalone.  Each book follows a different super hot Power's brother.
Simone grew up with Loch and she had a major crush on him.  Loch was awful in middle school and embarrassed her and her friend.   She moved away and life went on but because of how Loch treated her she has nightmares and insecurities.
They are both older now and in college.  Simone's looks have changed a  lot since middle school and Loch has gotten a lot hotter.  When there paths cross Loch doesn't recognize her.   Simone wants renege for the hell he put her through.   But Loch is not the same guy she remembers.   Loch has changed a lot and just not in the looks department.  He's not that same jerk from middle school.    Loch seems to genuinely like Simone  but she's has secrets that you know are going to cause major problems when they come out.
I loved Simone.  She a great character.  She's a little geeky and definitely a funny girl.   Loch is great too.  He super hot but doesn't have that whole cocky thing going on.   They both made this an enjoyable story to read.

RELEASE BLITZ for Highway Song by Jessa Jacobs

Author: Jessa Jacobs
Genre: Contemporary Romance
 Release Date: September 30, 2015

How did that famous quote from that old movie go? Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world...

Well, this was a biker bar, not a gin joint, and there wasn't really a town nearby. But to have my long-lost stepbrother show up in the very place I'd washed up a month earlier like flotsam from a shipwreck - that was the same kind of irony.

Thank God he wouldn't recognize me. I'd been ten years old when he last saw me seventeen years ago. Too bad for my battered heart that I now recognized what I'd only sensed as a child. My stepbrother the rock star was hot.

“Holy fuck!”

I was lifting a mug of ice-cold draft beer for my first swig when the exclamation from our manager, Mark Brent, caused me to miss and splash half of it over my hands as I flinched. The sound of Mark’s chair hitting the floor as he jumped to his feet accompanied his exclamation. I jerked my head up, getting ready to rip him a new one, only to see him running out the front door of the bar. I set my remaining beer down quickly and then followed Mark at a brisk pace, along with the others.

As soon as I was out the front door, the rest of the band members clustering around me, I saw the reason for Mark’s alarm. The bus was on fire.

Joe, the driver had an inadequate-looking fire extinguisher aimed underneath the vehicle, where black smoke roiled out unchecked by the foam. As soon as the guys saw what was going on, pandemonium broke loose. Unlike bigger bands, ours traveled with no crew. Our instruments and accessories, all but a drum kit, were in the luggage hold, perilously near the fire. Ike, the drummer, was the only one who didn’t run to the bus to rescue equipment, besides me.

I froze for half a second, and then used lungs more used to belting out rock music to yell. “Guys! Get away from there! It could go up. Holy shit, it’s just things.” Axel, Kirk and Cole ignored me, while Mark took off after them. I turned to Ike. “Call 911!”

“Rex, take a look around. There’s no town. This is just a shitty little biker bar in the middle of BFE-nowhere Wyoming. Where do you think a fire crew is going to come from?”

I lifted my gaze and stared out at the highway stretching from the east horizon to the west. Ike was right. Not a building in sight, other than Smokey’s Roadhouse, the bar where we’d stopped for lunch. The smoke from under the bus was dissipating though. Maybe the fire extinguisher had been enough after all.

Mark had managed to pull Cole, the bass player, away from the bus, but the two guitarists were still banging on the luggage hold, as if that would make it magically open. I couldn’t blame them. Between them, they probably had thousands of dollars’ worth of back line in that hold.

By rights it should have been in a crew bus. Even as I watched the bus destroy what might be our last chance to make it before some of the guys bailed on me, I knew it was my fault. Extinction wasn’t just our band name. It was a real possibility for our careers if this damn fire meant the bus wasn’t road-worthy.

He didn’t recognize me, thank God. I couldn’t afford for anyone to know who or where I was. After I calmed down, I reasoned it out. It had been seventeen years since he’d last seen me, and I was only ten at the time. There wasn’t a snowball’s chance in hell he’d know me now. Not only had I grown up, I’d grown up hard.

On the other hand, I knew what that cool once-over meant. His eyes lingered on my cleavage a second too long. If I knew men, and I had good reason to, he’d make a play for me sometime tonight. I couldn’t let that happen under any circumstances. It would just be too weird, even though our relationship was less than nothing.

His mother had married my father nineteen years ago. Like most of the women Dad attracted, she took off soon, though she did manage to last two years. She took her seventeen-year-old son with her. She hugged me before she left, and whispered, “I wish I could take you with me, honey, but he’d come after us. I’ll report him to the authorities.”

I had no idea what that meant, then. And if she did, it went nowhere. My dad needed a substitute punching bag, and I got nominated by default. Whenever I hid from him, I pretended my big stepbrother, Rick, would find me and take me with him this time. But his last words to me, “See you kid,” never came true. I hadn’t seen him again, until now.

The men at the table with Rick called him Rex. I’d changed my name too. During the course of an otherwise slow afternoon, I gathered a few bits of information as I served them. They were a band—a rock band I assumed—and their bus had caught fire in our parking lot. It looked like it wasn’t going anywhere soon. My boss, Smokey, said it would probably take the rest of the day for a mechanic to get here to assess the damage. Highway 80 had plenty of traffic, but it was a long stretch of just about nothing from Rawlins to Rock Springs.
