The Only One by JF Holland

The first in the Dennison Property Story Series. Characters to relate to, with human failings, humour and chemistry. (Each book is a standalone read in its own right)

Two years, Kitty Phillips has worked for Blake Dennison as his PA. Two years, of hiding behind plain glasses, and frumpy clothes. She’s subdued her feisty nature for all that time, due to falling for, and attracting, the wrong men. She believed playing down her looks would keep her safe, safe from men that are only after one thing.
Finally she’s ready to put a toe back in the dating pool, and disaster. Her first foray back and she walks in on Lance (a man she thought wanted her for herself) in a compromising position, with his own PA. She goes back to the office, and her temper breaks its bonds. She gives her boss her views on him, and men like him with both barrels.
Blake never mixes business with pleasure. But after kitty reveals the woman she’d been hiding, he’s all for breaking the rules. He pursues kitty with single minded intent. He wants to bed the woman he’s found hiding, in plain sight.  After all she’s threatening to leave his employment, he may as well enjoy her before she goes.
They both get more than they bargained for, once passion ignites. Kitty is feistier than Blake was expecting, and Blake is much more that Kitty ever believed possible. Have Kitty and Blake finally found The Only One for them? Or will underhanded dealings steal away their chance at forever?

What could he possibly be missing?
Alison Pope is a young widow with a daughter, and a new job she’s beginning to enjoy. She doesn’t do relationships, and hasn’t been tempted since her husband’s death. That is until she meets Rob Phillips at an art exhibition. Although Rob doesn't want to be there. He changes his mind after his sister introduces him to the beautiful, but lost Alison Pope. He's intrigued by her mix of sensual and vulnerable qualities, and wants to get to know her better.
After spending time with Rob, Alison’s shocked to realise that he’s much more than she believed a man could be. The only problem is, he wants the one thing from her that she’s incapable of giving him, or any man, intimacy.
Rob’s doesn’t understand why he can’t just walk away, a first for him. She is the complete opposite of every woman he’s ever slept with. So what is it about her that keeps drawing him back, to the point of obsession? The spark between them is undeniable, but with a dead husband, and a past she won’t disclose. Can Rob figure out what he’s missing, and find a way forward for them?

Second Chance by JF Holland

The third book in the Dennison Property Story Series. Characters to relate to with human failings. Book also contains erotic scenes, humour chemistry and profanity (Each book is a standalone read in its own right).

Jeff Haneran is an ex-soldier trying to move forward as a civilian. He goes to work for an old friend after re-training to be an accountant. He’s always found comfort in the ability to work numbers, at least those he can make sense of.

He has quite a few regrets in his life, but the biggest was letting Helen Orpington go. Sometimes doing the right thing, is the hardest pill to swallow. He's been playing the field ever since, and acting like he doesn’t have a care in the world; but looks can be deceiving.

Helen has never gotten over Jeff, and is shocked to find him working at Dennison’s Property Services. She can’t forget how he hurt her, but she’s also never gotten over him. The only problem is, he’s now a player with a major reputation. Where’s the man gone that she use to know? Is he still in that deceptively cavalier shell, and if he is; does she want a second chance with her first love?

There’s a lot of water gone under the bridge in the last five years, but there’s also quite a few secrets on both sides.

Moon Sworn by JF Holland

My First book in the Bound Series, a Paranormal Shifter book, due out 12th June and also on pre-order through amazon

Maya Rawlings was orphaned and knows nothing of her family history. She's spent her whole life feeling that there's something missing. All she wants is to belong and to have a family of her own, the only problem with that is she's not found a man she's attracted to.

On the night of her 21st birthday, a strange mark appeared on the back of her hand, half a semi-circle within another. Then the nightmares began, scenes of fear, running for her life, death and destruction, all followed by the darkly erotic voice of a man offering her things she's always dreamed of. Is he real or is she finally losing her mind?

Jaden Matthews has been on this earth for longer than he cares to remember. A loner who never settles in one place for too long. One night his life changes though as the mark appears on his hand that signifies his mate has been born. He now has 21 years to wait for her to mature and then the clock will start ticking. If he can't find and bind her to him before the last full moon sets on her 26th birthday, he'll not only lose his humanity, but also his immortality.

The only problem is he doesn't know where to find her. Although he can talk to her in her dreams he has to be careful because she isn't aware that there are more than humans walking the earth. He's running out of time and patience, but he's getting closer. Can he use his skills to get her to agree to the binding, thus saving himself or will he forever be destined to walk alone as the animal he becomes?

About Today's Featured Author JF Holland:

I still live in the small town in Manchester, Uk, where I was born, raised and attended school. Now a wife and mother, I live with my husband and 6 children. We also have a small menagerie of animals including a bully pup (who's also my shadow).

I've always loved the underdog, the fighter. But let's face it, we all want to believe in a happily ever after. As a huge fan of books (book nerd is the endearing term, my children use). I have an immense romance collection (Jill Shalvis, Hannah Howell etc) which also includes paranormal romance (Lynsey Sands, Christine Feehan, JR Ward etc). If I'm not writing, I've got my head stuck in a good book.

You can't beat reading, watching the plot and characters come to life in your imagination. It's so much better than television. When I was younger, I tended to re-write books and fairy-tales where I wasn't completely happy with the ending. It confused the hell out of my children once they learned to read. None of the books matched the stories I'd read them growing up.

The Heart Banner

The Heart

For the last ten years, I've roamed the globe, captivated by the world around me. I've seen the seven wonders and admired sunsets from every continent. I'd lived and loved and that was enough for me. It would have to be.
I was content, satisfied with my collection of experiences . . . until a phone call led me down a road less traveled.
If I'd known my fascination would pique and be forever quenched only a few hundred miles from where my curiosity had been born, I may have never set sail.
Stripped of the future I'd planned with the love of my life, my family and my career were now all that mattered. I'd lived and loved and that was enough. It would have to be.
I struggled to move forward, to discard the part of me that held out hope for my obliterated heart. But I was bred a romantic, so it was easier said than done.
The chances of being struck by lightning are 1 in 960,000.
The odds of being struck twice are 1 in 9 million.
I risked those odds every minute, often cursing the dark sky, praying for static and a rumble of thunder, but it never came.
No, that second bolt hit me on a clear day.
The Heart can be read as a stand alone but it is HIGHLY recommended you read the first two books in the series first.

Release & Sale Blitz

Title: Bella Box Set Vol. 1-4

Series: A Sagatori family saga A Mafia Romance

Author: Kimberly Blalock

Release Date:  April 30th

Bella vol. 1
My name is Isabella Sagatori. To my father I’m a princess, to others I’m an opportunity. They call me the mafia princess.

My life had been beautiful, I’d never wanted for anything. I took each day as it came and embraced it with Insight, laughter, and love. I chose not to live in the dark shadows,
until now.
Skip ahead and here I am running for my life, for my father’s life, and for my freedom. Darkness lingered and my father offered my hand to the boss of the Chicago outfit to ensure my protection.
Jax Moretti came into my life as a hero and then claimed me as his own. He claimed he'd only wanted to protect me, but the dark shadows that lingered in his told a different story.
Nothing that belongs to this earth is ever free. Until I met Jax Moretti I couldn’t have known how true that could be.

Bella vol.2
Taking over this family isn’t going to be easy. There are a lot of things that have been left undealt with. A lot of people need reminding of the man I am; what I can do to them, what I can have done to them. I control the cards. I determine what happens. The outcome is in my hands. I am the king.

Weakness isn’t a possibility. I’m not weak. I don’t cry or tell a sob story. Why would I? I wanted to be like my father; strong, willful, powerful. I wanted to make him proud. Jax will keep me as his bride and I will fight back. My words will be silent, my actions controlled. And when he least expects it -when I least expect it- I will do the unthinkable, unimaginable, in my world.

Bella vol.3
“Head of the family” is not an easy job title. There is a darkness within those words, a common set of traits the boss of bosses must possess and codes he must follow in order to fulfil his duty. Famiglia first. Always thinking of the family. But now, I find myself thinking of her. Sitting at my desk, calling the shots, even pulling the trigger has become a daunting task. Not because I don’t want to or can’t, but because all I want to do is imagine what it would feel like with my body wrapped around hers.

Should I feel as though this is the life I want? Should I see the good for all it is and accept the bad as it comes? He’s different, I’m different. Maybe it’s the way his eyes glisten now or the fact that they are even darker at times. I can’t help but wonder what it would be like if Jax could love me. I know that I’m imagining things at night when he asks me to stay with him in his bed. I feel him watch me. But what if I wasn’t imagining it, what would that mean?

Bella vol.4
I hated him for the things he took from me. I hated him for the love he refused me. But after all of the hate and anger, I knew without a doubt that I was irrevocably in love with Jax Moretti. I'm a woman born into a man's world. I've stood tall and held my own knowing the people that wanted my family in the ground, weren't far behind and soon they'd be exactly where I want them to be.

My name is Isabella Sagatori-Moretti. I will protect my family.

Dream Girls Series

Dream Girls: Piper (Book 1)

How far would you go to achieve happiness? What if it meant letting go of everything you'd once believed in?
Piper Allen is looking to spread her wings and unfortunately, her podunk hometown in Missouri is stunting her spiritual growth. Moving to Dallas to finish up college with her two friends, Stephanie and Nicole, she hopes to challenge herself to reach new heights. Her bohemian ways allow her to float through relationships frequently and with ease; when there are no strings attached, there is no chance of being hurt.
Texas rancher, Moye McKenzie, is a no nonsense, good ol' boy, who doesn't play games where matters of the heart are concerned. When this straight-shooter walks into Piper's life, sparks fly and tempers flare. Wanting to give her the life she deserves, Moye has to show her that getting hurt can happen whether you're holding onto the reins or not.
If she could just let go, Piper might be surprised to find she's someone's dream girl.

Barnes and Noble:

Dream Girls: Stephanie (#2)

Looking to take that first responsible step into adulthood, Stephanie Garner is working toward her college degree in secondary education while serving drinks at a bar to pay the bills. As an ex-gymnast and cheerleader, she might have guys falling at her feet, but she’s a firm believer in monogamy. Even though she has options, serial dating is not her thing.
Her best friend and roommate, the ever charismatic Cole Banks, likes to use his charming smile and silver tongue to his advantage. The more ladies the better; as long as Ms. Right Now doesn’t expect breakfast in the morning. It’s quantity over quality for this bachelor, until he realizes he wants more out of life. Starting a career he can be proud of is a step in the right direction to becoming the man he eventually wants to be.
The lines blur between these roommates almost daily—filled with stolen glances, cuddling, and front flips—but fear of losing their friendship holds both of them back from taking a chance on love. The path of least resistance is not only best for their precarious living arrangement, but for their friendship as well. If they’d just listen to their gut, maybe they’d discover the forever kind of love everyone dreams about.

Barnes and Noble:

Dream Girls: Nicole (#3)

Nicole Garrett, a self-proclaimed nerd, has had her future planned out for years. Taking chances has never appealed to her on any level, but growing up means adapting to change and accepting that life moves on no matter what. With her best friends, Piper and Stephanie both starting families of their own, Nicole finds herself concentrating harder on her plan to become a doctor, leaving little time for anything else, other than working at the local pub to help cover her living expenses. There is nothing worth more to her than making something of herself—unless you count Corey Tate.
Corey Tate isn’t a self-proclaimed anything. He doesn’t care enough. But ask anyone who has ever been around him and they’ll tell you he’s a bad-boy-recluse, who has a somewhat short fuse. He works hard and plays harder. Even though he has no clue what is involved in having an authentic relationship with a woman, Nicole Garrett has him curious enough to consider trying. Having zero experience in relationships proves to be a challenge for him, both mentally and emotionally.
Timing is everything, right? How much time has to pass before the moment is lost? Two years of knowing glances, private talks, and a connection that surprises them both, come to a head when Corey draws a line in the sand. Can these two very different people find their way to a love that can last forever, or will their own flaws ruin what could have been? If Corey and Nicole could get out of their own heads, they might just find out the difference between falling in love and being in love.

Interview With Carrie Thomas:
  1. Can you tell us a little about your books?
My young adult novel, Hooked was published by Blue Tulip Publishing, November of 2015. It is a sweet romance with a hint of mystery. I also have a new adult series that I just completed in February. The Dream Girls series follows three best friends as they move to Dallas, Texas. Each friend has her own book and is her journey into adulthood as she figures out who she is and who she wants to be. Of course, it wouldn’t be a romance without each of them finding love with a cowboy, a fireman, and a man who works with his hands. ;) They are in order: Dream Girls: Piper, Dream Girls: Stephanie, and Dream Girls: Nicole.
  2. Do you ever experience writer’s block?
What do you do to overcome it? Sure! Typically, I’ll just walk away from it for a few. Sometimes, I read something else to take my mind off of what I’m doing. Other times, I just take some time away from anything book related and just go about my business at home. It’s helpful to keep reminding myself that writer’s block doesn’t last forever. The words and stories will come to me eventually. I’m too invested for it not to. I’m like everyone else when they read a story. I have to know the end and how each character gets there.
  3. Do you work with an outline, or just write?
Cringing, I’ll admit that I just write. The reason I cringe when people ask me this is because if I were giving anyone else advice, I would say…Always have an outline! That way you can keep up with everything. Unfortunately, when I started writing, I didn’t know a whole lot about the writing world or techniques, so I still to this day, jot stuff down on napkins from my car while I’m at a red light, or very excitedly say to whomever I’m with in that moment, “Hey, don’t let me forget this!” My family does not love this.
  4. Do you have a favorite spot to write?
For some reason, I’ve picked my recliner to do most of my writing. It’s just where I’m most comfortable.
  5. Do you have a favorite food or drink you must have nearby when writing?
Nope. I write at all times during the day. And night. Sometimes it’s water and a banana, sometimes it’s coffee and a bag of chips.
  6. Do you listen to music while you write?
Yes! Almost always. I’ve had so much inspiration from lyrics. Words matter. I once wrote a whole book based off of one song and an interview from the artist. His heartbreak was evident in just a few words and a sad melody. It took my breath away and inspired me.
  7. If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have?
Hmm…I’m honestly really bad at these types of questions. I know I’m in the minority, but I don’t know a thing about Marvel or DC. I know, right? I have two sons. But, I think with where I’m at right this moment in my life, it would be to stop time. It seems to be flying past me and I don’t want it to.
  8. What are writing projects are you currently working on?
I have a dark young adult novel releasing this year that I am super excited about. It is so different than anything I’ve ever written and I can’t wait for the reader’s reactions. I’m completely stoked for the feels that book is going to bring. I’m also working on a new adult novel, that will more than likely turn into a series, due out possibly at the end of the year. Of course, I have three or ten other things swirling around in my head too, but those two are the for sure releases this year.
